Introducing Portal+
This video was made to introduce Portal+, the new Self Service system for Northern Marianas College.
I took inspiration from Apple’s product videos, using a clear voiceover and close-up animations to show the new features in a clean and modern way.
I led the creative direction and also worked on several of the motion sequences myself, collaborating closely with two other motion designers to build a cohesive visual style.
I also added a bit of humor to keep it light and relatable, so the commercial still feels human and approachable.
The goal was to make the system launch feel exciting and easy to understand, while showing how it helps students, advisors, and faculty. Every scene was built to keep the focus on the experience — simple, thoughtful, and forward-looking.
The Flame of Culture, the Power of Knowledge
This intro video was created for the Northern Marianas College 44th Commencement Exercise.
The goal was to build anticipation and give the ceremony a “wow” feeling from the start. I wrote a short script that connects to the theme — The Flame of Culture, The Power of Knowledge — and turned it into a visual story through animation. To bring in the sense of history and tradition, I added a short photo collage showing moments from past commencements, tying the idea of culture and growth together.
The result set the tone for the event, celebrating both progress and pride in the college’s journey.
